Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box Details

Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box The Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box will be able to support both DVB-T2 and DVB-T formats. Unlike many of the cheaper Freeview HD Boxes the Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box supports HD resolutions up to 1080p. In addition it also boasts upscaling for SD channels with an 8-day EPG. The Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box will be able to handle Dolby Digital Plus via the use of HDMI or optical, so you can split the audio off into your amp or stereo system if you desire.

An Ethernet connection will provide the standard facility for "interactive services and future internet-based services" when these become availiable (a similar feature to most oif the other Freeview HD Boxes). Sharp have said that the TU-T2 will be able to receive live streaming services like the BBC iPlayer, although no specific details are given and upgrading of the Tu-T2's software will take place via a useful USB port.

We currently don't have any further details but as soon as more product details are availiable we will be the first to let you know!

So thats the technical spec of the Sharp TU-T2 Freeview HD Box out of the way. What do we think? Its a good looking box produced by a very reliable brand. We have no been able to get hold of a box to test it so we cannot comment on the build quality or the menu features. It is fairly safe to say that with Sharp products, the build quality will be up to standard and it will be interesting to see how it compares against some of the other Freeview HD Boxes in this mid-range price bracket.
